Veera Niiranen, Finish: voice

Veera Niiranen completed her master’s degree in Opera and Voice at Graz University of Music in 2015. She had her debut at Graz Opera in December 2014 and also performed at Niiranens Diploma Recital at the Finnish National Opera in August 2014. Veera Niiranen’s performances include Königin der Nacht, Rosalinde and Fr. Fluth. Niiranen was awarded a third prize in Erkki Melartin Lied Competition with pianist Tuomas Juutilainen, and a second prize in the Young Soloist of 2013 competition. She was a finalist of 2014 Kangasniemi Singing Competition and a semifinalist of 2016 Lappeenranta Singing Competition.

 

Mirva Helske, Finish: piano

Pianist Mirva Helske finished her master’s degree in Accompaniment (2012) and Piano (2015) at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater. Further, Helske studied at the Sibelius Academy – University of Arts Helsinki and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Helske has worked with various acclaimed Finnish singers of her generation and has performed widely with them, including at the International Klaudia Taev Singing Competition (2017), Kangasniemi Singing Competition (2017) and Sibelius Singing Competition (2015). She won first prize at the Mart Saar -Singing Competition with counter tenor Ka Bo Chan (2014).
