DUO 5: Josefine Andersson & Nigar Dadascheva

Josefine Andersson, Swedish: voice

Josefine Andersson studied at The Opera Academy in Copenhagen. She performed Rosina in The Barber of Seville at The Royal Theater in Copenhagen. She participated in Mozart’s Requiem with Folkoperan and performed in Cenerentola with Nordic opera. She also performed Mercedes in Carmen with Opera Trondheim. Josefine Andersson has toured internationally with a romantic repertoire as well as a lied repertoire and has performed numerous oratorios. Andersson has been granted several scholarships and awards, including Jenny Lind Scholarship (2012) and the Reumert Talent Award (2013).

 

Nigar Dadascheva, Swedish: pianist

Nigar Dadascheva was born in Azerbaijan and started studying at the music school Bül-Bül. She has received various prizes throughout her studies. In Sweden, Nigar Dadascheva studied at the music program of Vadstena Folkhögskola’s, and later at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Dadascheva is active as a pianist, chamber musician and repetiteur. She works with several opera companies including The International Vadstena Academy’s and NorrlandsOperan.
