DUO 8: Mathias Monrad Møller & Linda Dahl Laursen

Mathias Monrad Møller, German: voice

Mathias Monrad Møller is a Danish – German tenor, born in Odense (1988) and raised in Southern Schleswig. He became a member of the boy’s choir Thomanerchor in Leipzig, where he also studied. Monrad Møller has a master’s degree in composition from Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst (2012), and a bachelor’s degree in singing from Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler“, in Berlin. In 2017 he finished his studies in the master’s programme with Susanna Eken at The Royal Danish Academy of Music and was accepted at The Opera Academy. Mathias Monrad Møller has performed as a soloist in Tokyo Opera City Hall, Berliner Philharmonie and in Tivolis Koncertsal. In May 2018 he will perform with Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester.

 

Linda Dahl Laursen, Danish: piano

Linda Dahl Laursen was born in 1981 in Jutland. In 1999, Laursen started her studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus with Aino Gliemann. From 2003-2007, she studied in Malmö with professor Hans Pålsson (2003-2007), and later with Niklas Sivelöv and Jens Elverkjær at The Royal Danish Academy of Music. She had her debut concert in 2013. Linda Dahl Laursen has received first prizes in: Den Danske Steinway festival, P2’s Talent Competition, Yamahas YMFE Scholarship, Ljunggrenske Tävlingen in Göteborg, KMAs Scholarship Competition for Pianists in Sweden as well as the Otto Goldschmidt Scholarship for Accompanists.
