Toke Lund Christiansen graduated from RDAM with continued studies in London and Paris with William Bennett and Marcel Moyse. Is previously employed as solo flutist in the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and artistic consultant at the Ensemble. Among other things recorded the complete works for flute by Kuhlau, Roussel, Ibert and Saint Saëns and Carl Nielsen’s Flute Concerto with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Michael Schønwandt.
Has composed several works for various chamber ensemble. Best known is the Tango Fantasia for Flute and Piano (WH). He has also published a number of books on music, including “Udsigt til musik” (Gyldendal), “Holberg and music”, “Mozart’s ear and other stories” and “Scattered applause, a year of DR Symphony Orchestra” (Vandkunsten).
